CSC's approach to staffing begins with a careful scouting and selection process, and continues through the various stages of hiring and training. We utilize a number of staffing resources to cherry-pick the very best security guard talent available in our market, and we're extremely thorough in our hiring processes and during the different phases of employee training. Specifically, we utilize the CSC Background Services division to pre-screen all prospective security guards. We conduct a variety of background checks, pre-employment drug testing, drug screening and other continuing-employment screening products and services.
Once assigned to a customer's facility, each CSC security guard receives extensive on-site training specific to their assignment. This training thoroughly familiarizes the security guard with all of the duties and responsibilities required for his/her particular assignment. Documentation of this training is contained in the security guard's permanent personnel file. Throughout their career with CSC our security guards also receive periodic, specialized in-service training from law enforcement professionals to augment their security skills.
We also incentivize our security guard staff in various ways, including competitive wages, 401(k) plans, medical benefits, performance incentives, and law enforcement training curriculum in order to keep our talent on board and keep them focused on providing the highest level of protection and customer service possible.

Security Guard Staffing Levels
In order to provide our Site Security clients with the best possible protection in the most cost effective manner, CSC offers three levels of Security Guard staffing to meet our client's unique security needs:
•Unarmed Security Guards
CSC's security guard team is equipped with highly-trained, unarmed security guards who have the capability to deter incidents before they happen, and quickly respond in a professional manner, when necessary. Our unarmed security guards perform a variety of tasks that are specifically designed to meet a client's unique security needs in order to protect their valuable property and assets.
•Security Guard Supervisors
CSC's security guard supervisors have the advanced training and leadership skills that are often required by our site security clients. These supervisors not only manage CSC's security guards in the field, but they also serve as a main point of contact on behalf of the security staff, while performing the necessary duties in a professional manner.
•Armed Law Enforcement Guards
In the event a client is faced with a high-profile or high-risk security situation, such as a Reduction in Force (RIF) or Executive Protection detail, or requires the expert surveillance or counter-surveillance skills of a security specialist, CSC has the ability to staff these jobs with armed law enforcement guards and former military professionals who have the expert training necessary to mitigate these risks and provide high level protection.
