To build an effective security program, it is necessary
to understand the nature and source of potential threats
and one’s vulnerability to those threats. Our approach
to conducting such risk assessments is based on our many
years of experience in both the public safety and private
security arenas. In addition, we have received specialized
risk assessment training and certification by the U.S. Government
in a methodology approved by the Department of Homeland
Security in the wake of the events of September 11th.
Our comprehensive risk assessment process works equally
well for assessment of individuals, buildings, campuses
of buildings, or corporations. Our first step is to meet
with the client to determine the client’s needs and
expectations, and then build a risk assessment team that
will work with the client or client’s team to conduct
the assessment. Once the risk assessment has been completed,
depending on the client’s needs, we can prepare a
detailed implementation plan that contains specific actions
required to mitigate the risk determined by the risk assessment.
For our corporate clients in the current Sarbanes Oxley
environment, risk assessments can be extremely helpful to
minimize the risk of shareholder litigation, to ensure compliance
with applicable regulatory requirements, and to meet requirements
of insurance carriers. For individuals, including corporate
executives, a CSC risk assessment can help ensure their
peace of mind to know that they – and their families
– are adequately protected.
